Job Opportunity: Medical Director

About the Role:

The Manitoba Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Director to lead our Internal Medicine team at Grace Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the delivery of medical services, ensuring the highest quality of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the Regional Medical Specialty Lead to develop and implement strategic plans for the Internal Medicine program.
  2. Lead the Internal Medicine team at Grace Hospital, ensuring effective and efficient delivery of care.
  3. Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.
  4. Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  5. Provide leadership and guidance to the team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  1. Be licensed to practice medicine in the Province of Manitoba.
  2. Hold an FRCP(C) in Internal Medicine or equivalent.
  3. Have a full-time appointment to the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Manitoba at the Rank of Assistant Professor, or higher.

  1. 5 years or more of experience in a medical leadership role.
  2. Strong understanding of healthcare policies and procedures.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
