We are seeking a highly skilled Pricing Strategist to join our team at Canada Goose. As a key member of our Pricing team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Pricing Analysis: Develop and maintain pricing models, analyze market trends, and provide insights to inform pricing decisions.
- Global Price Management: Manage and communicate global price lists for all regions, ensuring that all stakeholders have the necessary information to support business objectives.
- Competitive Research: Conduct competitive research to identify pricing opportunities and develop strategies to maintain market competitiveness.
- Collaboration and Communication: Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with cross-functional partners, including Planning, Finance, Merchandising, and Sales teams.
- Tool Development: Develop and maintain tools to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Pricing team, including data analysis and visualization.
- Internal Control and Compliance: Support the internal control process by suggesting improvements and providing required information during audit walkthroughs and sample testing.
- Pricing-Related Projects: Support pricing-related projects, including price elasticity, global pricing index, and other initiatives.
- Minimum 3 Years Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a pricing-related position for an apparel company or retailer.
- Pricing Analysis and Evaluation: Proven ability to analyze, evaluate, and make recommendations on pricing questions.
- Model Building and Coding: Proven ability to build models, strong MS Excel skills, and experience in coding.
- Financial Analysis Tools: Experience with or interest in financial analysis tools, such as PowerBI, SQL, and/or data warehousing tools.
- Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to structure, break down, and solve complex business issues.
- Financial Acumen: Understanding of financial analysis and working knowledge of financial statements.
- Product-Oriented and Communicative: Passion for product and ability to synthesize ideas and thinking for sharing with others.
- Collaborative and Intellectually Curious: Ability to partner with other functions and business leaders on complex problems and business issues, and a passion for business and apparel/fashion.
