Job Title: Jordan's Principle Service Coordinator

Kina Gbezhgomi Child and Family Services (KGCFS) is a leading provider of Child Protection Services in the Districts of Sudbury and Manitoulin. We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Jordan's Principle Service Coordinator to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Jordan's Principle Service Coordinator will act as a focal point for children and families served by KGCFS. This role will provide service coordination and planning in cooperation with other agency personnel, ensuring that children in care and those not in care receive the necessary support and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and analyze Jordan's Principle documentation to identify service and financial accessibility needs.
  • Develop and implement service coordination and planning processes to meet the needs of children and families.
  • Collaborate with service teams to identify unmet needs and lead the completion of Jordan's Principle applications.
  • Work with families to empower advocacy and navigate the Jordan's Principle application process.
  • Participate in internal and external committees as required.
  • Liaise with communities, service providers, and collateral agencies to ensure effective service delivery.
Requirements:
  • University degree or college diploma in a field related to Human Services, Education, or Social Work.
  • Minimum one-year direct service experience with children and families.
  • Experience working with Indigenous people, organizations, and communities.
