Job Description

Job Summary

The Project Control Lead provides project management oversight and support services to Facilities Management (FM) clients across a specified group of enterprise-wide projects and major organizational initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, monitor, analyze, and assess the results and key performance indicators for key projects and business initiatives within Facilities Management.
  • Manage timelines and resources; facilitate transition and change management as required/appropriate.
  • Coordinate the procurement and management of external services and the management of assigned staff of project management transformative initiatives.
  • Develop standards for project practice and governance.
  • Measure compliance with existing processes/procedures and support and complement the activities to ensure current and continually improving project oversight and outcomes.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Business Administration.
  • Seven years' recent related experience with project management/project controls practice, including three years' experience as a project manager/project controller for a large complex organization.
  • Health care facilities management experience is preferred.
  • A professional designation such as PMP would be an asset.

  • Professional/Technical Capabilities: Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and manage complex work teams in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.

  • Demonstrated financial planning, monitoring, and analysis and reporting expertise including knowledge of general accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Proficient working knowledge of latest Scheduling programs (MS Project / Primavera) and related project management tools including Integrated Project Management systems.
  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) system.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and manage a project controls system.
  • Demonstrated understanding of relational and multi-dimensional database concepts.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of the team.
  • Ability to organized, goal-oriented, proactive, and practical.
  • Ability to develop and maintain rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate related equipment including related software applications.
