About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Patient Care Assistant to join our team at Viesca Residence. As a Patient Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Companionship: Engage in conversations, play games, and participate in activities with residents to combat loneliness and isolation.
  • Medication Management: Assist with administering medications and maintaining accurate records.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe living environment for residents.
  • Meal Preparation: Assist with serving meals and snacks, and ensure residents have access to nutritious food.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Setting: Work in a fast-paced environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, with repetitive tasks and attention to detail required.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs) of weight handling.
