About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Director to join our team at Freudenberg. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading our regional operations, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring the highest level of service for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: You will be responsible for maintaining product availability, meeting customer expectations, and ensuring the highest level of service.
- Team Management: You will provide visionary leadership to a team of direct reports from Supply Chain, R&D, Quality, and Production, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work culture.
- Safety and Quality: You will lead by example in upholding safety and quality as top priorities throughout operations, implementing policies and procedures to protect our employees and facilities.
- Process Optimization: You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency, particularly within our small manufacturing operation.
- Continuous Improvement: You will drive a culture of continuous improvement, fostering innovation and creativity among your team members.
- Hands-On Management: In this hands-on role, you will spend 90% of your time on the production floor, directly engaging with the team and overseeing daily operations.
Requirements:
- Industry Experience: You bring 8-10 years of work experience and experience in a similar role, preferably within the food production industry.
- Educational Background: You hold a degree in engineering or a related field, equipping you with the technical expertise needed for success.
- Leadership Excellence: You have a proven track record of leadership and achievement, with a focus on driving results and delivering operational excellence.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with SAP and a strong understanding of production, quality, and EHS standards are essential.
- Growth Mindset: You possess a growth mindset, with a keen interest in expanding your responsibilities and making a positive impact on our organization.
