About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Dietitian to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing expert nutrition care to patients and families in our Primary Health Care clinic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop personalized care plans for patients with chronic health conditions
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication
  • Develop and implement health promotion programs to support healthy eating habits and disease prevention
  • Conduct group education sessions and provide one-on-one counseling to patients and families
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in nutrition and dietetics
About You

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in human nutrition and dietetics, as well as experience working in a clinical setting. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition from a recognized university
  • Accredited dietetic internship (1 year integrated or postgraduate program)
  • Current Registration with Nova Scotia College of Dietitians and Nutritionists
  • Annual continuing education to maintain Nova Scotia license
  • One year of clinical experience required
  • Primary care experience preferred
