Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Western Restaurant Franchises Inc O/A A & W Restaurant. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service establishment, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of 5-10 staff members, including food and beverage servers, food service counter attendants, and kitchen and food service helpers.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and ensure that they are equipped to provide excellent customer service.
  • Operations Management
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
    • Prepare and submit reports to management.
  • Customer Service
    • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Ensure that customers receive exceptional service and that their needs are met.
  • Human Resources
    • Hire food service staff and ensure that they are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties.
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods.
    • Be physically demanding and require the ability to lift, bend, and crouch.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service establishment.
  • Skills
    • Efficient interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent oral communication skills.
    • Flexibility and ability to work in a team environment.
    • Initiative and dependability.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods. The position requires physical demands, including lifting, bending, and crouching.
