About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at All View Construction Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction of residential and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Construction
    • Develop and implement detailed construction plans and layouts in accordance with building codes and regulations.
    • Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and identify potential issues.
  • Construction
    • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel.
    • Build and install foundations, floor beams, subflooring, walls, and roof systems.
    • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Post-Construction
    • Inspect and test completed work to ensure it meets quality and safety standards.
    • Identify and report any defects or issues to the project manager.
  • Team Management
    • Supervise and mentor junior carpenters and construction staff.
    • Provide guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  • Maintenance and Repair
    • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on residential and commercial properties.
    • Identify and address any safety hazards or issues.
    Requirements
    • Education
      • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • Experience
      • At least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in carpentry or a related field.
    • Skills
      • Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations.
      • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
      • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
      • Physical stamina to perform manual labor.
      Working Conditions
