Job Title: Tractor Trailer Driver

Eassons Transport Ltd is seeking a skilled Tractor Trailer Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various locations.

Job Summary:
  • Drive tractor-trailer combinations to transport goods and materials
  • Load and unload goods
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
  • Operate and maintain tractor-trailer equipment
  • Communicate with dispatch and other team members
Responsibilities:Work Setting:
  • Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Travel to various locations, including cross-border
Tasks:
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Drive safely and efficiently
  • Load and unload goods
  • Operate and maintain tractor-trailer equipment
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
  • Communicate with dispatch and other team members
Certifications and Licenses:
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Defensive Driving Course
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Forklift Operator Certification
  • Professional Driver Improvement Certificate
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
Documentation Knowledge:
  • Accident or incident reports
  • Bill of lading
  • Driver logbook
  • Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
  • Trans-border documentation
  • Trip reports
Communication Systems Experience:
  • Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
  • Trip recorder (on-board computer)
Transportation/Travel Experience:
  • Long-haul experience
Security and Safety:
  • Valid passport
  • Basic security clearance
  • Criminal record check
  • Driving record check (abstract)
  • Drug test
Transportation/Travel Information:
  • Drive manual transmission vehicle
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Willing to travel cross-border
  • Willing to travel for extended periods
  • Willing to travel internationally
  • Willing to travel overnight
