Civil Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at Stantec Consulting International Ltd. in Chicoutimi, Canada.
About the RoleThis is a unique opportunity to work on a variety of exciting Energy & Resources projects across North America and Internationally. As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing civil infrastructure projects, including site planning, roads, drainage, grading, earthworks, and stormwater management systems.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop civil infrastructure projects, including site planning, roads, drainage, grading, earthworks, and stormwater management systems;
- Develop and review stormwater management plans, including design of retention and detention ponds and controlled discharge outlets;
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, on-site and off-site stormwater management designs, and pre-development and post-development stormwater analysis;
- Develop and prepare reports, planning studies, specifications, detailed design drawings, and construction submittal reviews;
- Coordinate with project managers, discipline leads, inter-discipline teams, clients, regulatory entities, vendors, and sub-contractors;
- Function as discipline lead on projects and manage project scope, budget, schedule, resources, and lead change management;
- Lead and contribute to the development of proposals;
- Ensure quality assurance and quality control on the project.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field;
- Minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience working on engineering design projects;
- Strong understanding of civil earthworks, grading, and stormwater drainage design, including environmental and geotechnical requirements;
- Working knowledge of Civil3D and other civil design and modeling software;
- Experience with hydraulic/hydrology modeling software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, PCSWMM is an asset;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and aptitude for problem-solving;
- Demonstrates accountability, commitment, and excellent work attitude.
