Kitchen Helper Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at 85216 Newfoundland & Labrador Ltd. As a Kitchen Helper, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring the smooth operation of our food service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of food and beverages
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen, including work surfaces, equipment, and storage areas
  • Operate dishwashers and wash dishes, glassware, and flatware by hand
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors
  • Assist in the preparation of simple food items, such as washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit
  • Provide support to kitchen staff as needed
Requirements:
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a kitchen or food service environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Language:
