Accounting Manager Job Summary

Spark Power Corp is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for leading the accounting function and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the month-end/year-end close processes and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.
  • Supervise and coach a team of accountants to ensure they are meeting their performance goals.
  • Develop and implement procedures to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiencies.
  • Participate in the planning and forecasting for the Canada Technical Services line of business.
  • Assist with audits and taxes as needed.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of general accounting experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting and Professional accounting designation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with accounting software, including Oracle NetSuite & Adaptive.
  • Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws and regulations.
