IPEX, a leading provider of advanced plastic piping systems, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Health, Safety, and Environment Student to join our team in Langley, B.C.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Safety Specialist to optimize processes and workflows.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Update Safety Data Sheet inventory and Work Instructions to ensure accuracy.
  • Liaise with teams to update the status of safety projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Working towards a degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead multiple tasks.
  • Well-developed organization and prioritization skills.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding and following workplace health and safety rules and regulations.
Working Conditions:
  • Working indoors in an office environment (60%) with exposure to a plant and yard environment (40%).
  • Frequent communication with plant HSE Specialists and occasional communication with operational department managers and plant personnel.
  • The plant environment consists of loud noises, odors, dust, and exposure to moving equipment.
  • PPE (hi-vis vest, safety boots, hearing protection, safety glasses).
