About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Technician to join our team at Peaceland Oilfield Services Ltd. As an Accounting Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping

Accurately maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

Payroll and Benefits Administration

Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, manage employee benefits, and ensure timely and accurate payment of wages and benefits.

Financial Reporting and Analysis

Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, and other reports to provide insights into the company's financial performance and position.

Tax Compliance

Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.

Financial Systems and Processes

Implement and maintain efficient financial systems and processes, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of financial data.

Requirements
  • Education

College/CEGEP diploma in Accounting or related field.

Experience

2 years to less than 3 years of experience in accounting or related field.

Skills

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Software and Systems

Proficient in Sage Accounting Software and MS Office.

Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring strong organizational and time management skills.
