About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join our IT Procurement team at Canadian Tire Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the sourcing and contracting process for medium to high complexity IT related purchases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for IT related purchases, including software, hardware, and managed services.
  • Lead the contracting process, including vendor investigation, bid solicitation, negotiation, and contract documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs.
  • Work with external vendors to negotiate commercial terms and conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of vendor portfolios and identify opportunities for cost reduction and value-added services.
  • Support ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required.

Requirements

  • University degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Three years of experience in an IT Procurement role.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to construct procurement strategies.
  • Outcome-focused and critical thinking skills.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent influencing, communication, and negotiation skills.
