Job Summary

Maverick HP Logistics Inc. is seeking a skilled Truck Driver - Flatbed Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mountain Driving Expertise

Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, with a focus on navigating challenging mountainous terrain.

Vehicle Maintenance and Inspection

Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Cargo Management

Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, as well as ensure the safety and security of cargo through tarping and other measures.

Documentation and Compliance

Accurately complete and maintain various documents, including accident or incident reports, bills of lading, and inspection reports, while adhering to regulatory requirements.

Security and Safety

Undergo regular criminal record checks, driver's validity license checks, and driving record checks, as well as submit to drug tests to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

Hold a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field.

Licenses and Certifications

Possess an AZ class license, Air Brakes Endorsement, and Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks).

Language and Work Environment

Be fluent in English and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with varying hours and routes.
