About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sushi Chef to join our team at AH-SO SUSHI. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality sushi dishes, as well as training and mentoring our staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Staff Training and Development: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet our culinary needs.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and work areas, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varying locations.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, flexibility, initiative, organized, reliability, and a team player attitude.
