Position Overview

Lundy Potato Farms LTD. is seeking a skilled Agricultural Equipment Technician to maintain and repair our farm machinery. This role is crucial for ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a trades certificate or diploma in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years in a similar role.
Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and inspect agricultural machinery to identify faults and malfunctions.
  • Utilize computerized and other diagnostic tools to assess the extent of repairs needed.
  • Manage inventory and order necessary parts for equipment maintenance.
  • Adjust machinery and replace defective components as required.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance records and documentation.
  • Conduct performance tests on repaired equipment to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Install and adjust components on new agricultural machinery.
  • Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning and lubrication of equipment.
  • Execute repair tasks on heavy trucks as needed.
Work Environment
  • Transportation: Vehicle provided by the employer.
  • Physical Demands: The role is physically demanding, requiring attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to handle heavy loads.
  • Weight Handling: Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
