Job Summary

Lundy Potato Farms LTD. is seeking a skilled Farm Equipment Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our farm equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, and troubleshoot issues to determine the extent of repair required.
  • Diagnostic Testing: Use computerized and other testing equipment to diagnose faults or malfunctions and determine the necessary repairs.
  • Inventory Management: Order parts and maintain inventory levels to ensure timely repairs and minimize downtime.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Adjust equipment, repair or replace defective parts, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance.
  • Quality Control: Test repaired equipment to ensure it meets manufacturers' specifications and performs properly.
  • Assembly and Installation: Attach components and adjust new farm equipment to ensure proper operation.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance tasks to keep equipment in good working condition.
  • Heavy Truck Repair: Perform repair work on heavy trucks and other equipment as needed.
Work Environment

As a Farm Equipment Technician with Lundy Potato Farms LTD., you will work in a fast-paced agricultural environment with a focus on safety and efficiency. You will be required to stand for extended periods, lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs), and perform other physically demanding tasks.

Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Language: English
