Job Title: Residential Care Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Worker to join our team at the Developmental Disabilities Association (DDA). As a Residential Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to live successfully in residential settings within the community.

About the Role:

The Residential Care Worker will assist residents with their physical, emotional, social, recreational, economic, educational, and/or medical needs. This will involve enhancing their quality of life through activities of daily living, working independently and as part of a team, and demonstrating the ability to take initiative and effectively problem solve using sound judgment.

Requirements:
  • Degree or Diploma in a field related to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities
  • 1-2 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or related equivalent experience
  • Experience with adaptive communication and community care is an asset
  • Valid First Aid/CPR certification and a Class 5 Driver's License
  • Criminal Record Clearance and Medical Clearance
  • Competency in English written and verbal communication
