Position Overview
We are in search of a proficient Mechanical Technician to become a vital part of our manufacturing division. The Mechanical Technician will be tasked with the safe and efficient assembly and fabrication of our industrial water systems, adhering to quality standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
- Uphold cleanliness standards in compliance with Clean Room Protocol.
- Accurately position, install, and secure all sub-components into various equipment as per the specified drawings.
- Operate a diverse range of machinery integral to the manufacturing process, including welding machines, torches, pipe/conduit/tube benders, grinders, and drills.
- Fabricate, assemble, and conduct hydro-testing on PVC, PP, and PVDF pipe spools.
- Perform self-inspections to ensure all components are correctly installed, tested, and conform to applicable drawings, signing QA documentation as required.
- Execute paint touch-ups as necessary to maintain product quality.
- Package all equipment to meet shipping standards, whether for overseas or domestic delivery.
- Availability to work either the first or second shift as needed.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Capability to assemble equipment according to assembly process drawings.
- Proven mechanical aptitude, with proficiency in understanding basic pipe and skid layout and assembly.
- Demonstrated commitment to high-quality work, initiative, and the ability to work independently when necessary.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and assist in training peers and contractors.
- Experience in PVC pipe welding is advantageous; structural welding experience is also a plus.
- Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in the manufacturing of large water treatment equipment.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and frequently walk, bend, and climb stairs.
- Willingness to work the first shift (6:45 am - 3 pm) and overtime as required.
- Strong sense of urgency and initiative.
