Fleet Coordinator Job Description

The Fleet Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the strategic planning and execution of fuel deliveries for customers and their respective locations. This position requires a unique blend of logistical expertise, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Scheduling fuel deliveries and purchases, ensuring timely and efficient service to customers.
  • Building trips and ensuring credit releases are completed prior to delivery, guaranteeing seamless transactions.
  • Managing driver scheduling, ensuring adequate coverage and minimizing downtime.
  • Coordinating with drivers to ensure quality and completion of all paperwork, maintaining accurate records.
  • Building and maintaining a master load pattern list for all branch units, optimizing fuel distribution.
  • Ensuring drivers adhere to AFD procedures for safe and efficient operation, prioritizing safety and compliance.
  • Managing fuel dyed inventory, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years' experience in dispatch-related positions, with a strong understanding of logistics and transportation.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
