Job Title: Senior Application Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Development Specialist to join our team at Ontario Lottery and Gaming (OLG). As a key member of our technology team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing application solutions to support our business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop web applications using React and microservices using FastAPI
  • Conduct changes to existing systems, including upgrades and optimizations
  • Develop and configure integrations, conduct unit testing, and perform technical fixes
  • Develop and deploy proof of concepts, prototypes, and evaluate opportunities to leverage agile methodologies and tools
  • Develop and maintain code and configuration repositories
  • Support the change and release management process, including defining release strategy and associated task planning
  • Provide tier two and three application support, including on-call support
  • Identify potential solution risks and escalate to relevant stakeholders
  • Prepare documentation for transition to the operate team
Requirements:
  • Minimum of three years' experience in solution development and/or delivery
  • Post-secondary degree in an information system or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Primary knowledge of React, Python, SQLAlchemy, GitHub, CI/CD, and Agile Development Practices
  • Secondary knowledge of system and technology integration, middleware software approaches, user interface design, and cloud computing
