Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled Network Security Specialist to enhance our cybersecurity framework. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in network architecture, proficiency with Cisco equipment, and a deep understanding of network security protocols. This role involves designing, implementing, and sustaining secure network environments across multiple platforms, including data centers, core networks, and cloud infrastructures. Your expertise in firewall management, particularly with Checkpoint Security Firewall, will be vital in maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of our network systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructures, including data centers, core networks, and cloud environments.
  • Configure and troubleshoot Cisco hardware and network devices to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Establish and manage firewall policies, especially with Checkpoint Security Firewall, to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
  • Develop and execute network segmentation strategies to enhance security and minimize vulnerabilities.
  • Utilize tools such as Illumio for application micro-segmentation, ensuring precise control over network traffic and access.
  • Collaborate with various teams to integrate VPN solutions and enable secure remote access to network resources.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in network security, continuously evaluating and improving our network defenses.
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and teamwork.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience in network security roles.
  • Proficiency in network configuration and troubleshooting, particularly with Cisco hardware.
  • Extensive experience with firewall configuration, specifically with Checkpoint Security Firewall.
  • Strong understanding of network segmentation principles, with familiarity in tools like Illumio.
  • Knowledge of VPN technologies and cloud networking concepts.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCSA, or CISSP are advantageous.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
