Position Overview

As a member of our dedicated healthcare team, the Resident Care Support Specialist plays a vital role in assisting with resident care and providing basic supportive services under the guidance of the Resident Care Manager, Registered Nurses (RNs), and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs). You will contribute to our mission by upholding the values, goals, and objectives of River Park Gardens.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized care to residents, assisting with daily living activities as directed.
  • Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive resident well-being.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
Qualifications

We are seeking individuals who possess the following:

  • Previous experience in resident care is preferred but not required.
  • A minimum of Grade 10 education, meeting Manitoba standards, is essential.
  • Successful completion of a recognized Health Care Aide course is mandatory.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken, is required.
  • Preference will be given to applicants who are proficient in an Indigenous language and/or possess knowledge of Indigenous customs, traditions, and values.
