About the Role

We're seeking a seasoned Senior Software Engineer to join our Product Software Engineering team at Jobber. As a champion of best practices, you'll collaborate with fellow engineers to build reusable solutions and an industry-leading product that empowers small businesses to succeed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain our core design system to enhance engineering efficiency and consistency across mobile and web products.
  • Advocate for Design Systems best practices within Jobber's engineering organization, driving adoption and standardization.
  • Participate in code review and testing, ensuring consistent practices and reusable code.
  • Mentor junior teammates, helping them grow professionally and advance their careers.
  • Drive front-end focused software engineering expertise on mobile and web in a production environment.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience with Native app development (iOS & Android), using React, React Native, and Typescript.
  • Strong understanding of common front-end software frameworks, architectures, technologies, and patterns.
  • Experience working closely with designers to develop or contribute to an organizational Design System.
  • Experience integrating with GraphQL API or other modern API query language/technology.
  • Experience with the entire software development lifecycle in the Agile/Scrum framework.
