We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Department at Mills Memorial Hospital. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will have a strong background in critical care and emergency nursing, with a minimum of two years of experience in a medical/surgical setting. They will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to emergency nursing practice.
- Contribute to the education and training of new staff members.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of quality improvement projects.
- Current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Minimum two years of experience in a medical/surgical setting.
- Post-diploma certificate in Critical Care and/or Emergency Nursing, or equivalent combination of experience and training.
- CPR (Basic Life Support) certification.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification or willingness to complete within one year.
