Your Opportunity:

The Alberta Health Services is seeking a skilled Healthcare Support Worker to join our team. As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing patient care services under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with their activities of daily living to facilitate comfort, safety, and general well-being.
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment for patients through the application of universal precautions.
  • Work collaboratively with patients, families, and caregivers to provide support services.
  • Assist nurses with the provision of routine care to meet patients' hygiene, nutrition, mobility, recreation, and safety needs.
  • Observe and report on patients' mood, health, and well-being.

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire and active directory status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory.
  • Computer skills are preferred.
