Job Title: Banquet Server

At Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Server to join our team. As a Banquet Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring that every event is a memorable and enjoyable experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide prompt, courteous, and efficient food and beverage service to guests in accordance with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts standards.
  • Collect and polish all chinaware and glassware for upcoming functions.
  • Work as part of a team to provide a consistently high standard of service in areas such as meeting set-ups and all meal functions.
  • Demonstrate professional and positive image to guests and colleagues at all times.
  • Effectively handle guest concerns through empowerment and report any irregularities to the Leader.
  • Report any deficiencies in equipment or level of supplies to the Banquet Supervisors.
  • Ensure the equipment and all work areas are maintained to hotel standard.
  • Properly stock all convention equipment in appropriate areas as per the hotel standards.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, interdepartmental meetings, shift line-ups, and incentive programs.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
  • Comply with all safety regulations of assigned tasks and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the hotel health and safety program.
  • Assist the house team in setting up function rooms and moving banquet assets/furniture.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment and actively participate in health and safety initiatives.
  • Adhere to all hotel environmental policies and initiatives.
  • Carry out any other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar function in Food and Beverage, preferably Banquets or Conventions.
  • Post-secondary education in Hotel/Food and Beverage Management is an asset.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to make effective decisions.
  • Demonstrates initiative and the ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintain high service levels under pressure.
  • Physically fit to lift trays repeatedly, stand, and walk for the duration of the shift.
