Banquet Server

What you will be doing:

Provide prompt, courteous and efficient food & beverage service in accordance with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts food & beverage standards Collection and polishing of all chinaware and glassware for upcoming functions Work as part of a team to provide a consistently high standard of service in areas such as meeting set ups and all meal functions Demonstrate professional and positive image to guests and colleagues at all times Effectively handle guest concerns through empowerment, and report any irregularities to Leader Report any deficiencies in equipment or level of supplies to the Banquet Supervisors Ensure the equipment and all work areas are maintained to hotel standard Properly stock all convention equipment in appropriate areas as per the hotel standards Participation in departmental meetings, inter departmental meetings, shift line ups and incentive programs Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the hotel health and safety program Assist the house team in setting up function rooms and moving banquet assets/furniture Ensure a clean and safe working environment, and actively participate in health and safety initiatives Adhere to all hotel environmental policies and initiatives Carry out any other tasks as assigned
Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

Minimum 1 year in a similar function in Food & Beverage, preferably Banquets or Conventions Post-Secondary education in Hotel/Food and Beverage Management an asset Self‑motivated, with the ability to make effective decisions Demonstrates initiative, and the ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision Ability to maintain high service levels under pressure Physically fit to lift trays repeatedly, stand and walk for the duration of the shift.

You may be required to work on holidays, weekends, overnights and other non-day shifts. Submission of your application to Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise indicates that you are able to meet these requirements as needed.
