Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Transportation Engineer/Project Manager to join our team at Dillon Consulting. As a key member of our transportation engineering group, you will be responsible for managing transportation engineering projects and teams, developing technical expertise, and contributing to business development and growth.

Responsibilities
  • Manage transportation engineering projects and teams, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise in transportation engineering, including functional and preliminary designs, detailed designs, and contract administration.
  • Liaise with multidisciplinary project teams, including transportation, municipal, and structural engineers, transportation systems planners, planners, environmental scientists, and technical support staff.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships and new business opportunities.
  • Contribute to the career development of junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Participate in professional associations and committees to contribute to Dillon's corporate profile.
  • Business travel to other Dillon offices as required.
Requirements
  • An undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Registered (or eligible for registration) as a Professional Engineer with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba (EGM).
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience in transportation engineering, preferably with an emphasis on transportation projects within the consulting industry.
  • Proven leadership and business development capabilities.
  • Proven ability as a project manager of multi-disciplinary project teams, with experience in Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure (MTI) transportation/infrastructure projects desired.
