About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer to join our team at Amazon Development Centre Canada ULC. As a Software Development Engineer, you will play a key role in the development of our cloud-based software solutions, working closely with our cross-functional teams to design, build, and deploy high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop complex software systems, including front-end user experience, robust platform services, and system-level pieces.
  • Collaborate with our team to define the next wave of product features and system architecture.
  • Work closely with our business and technical partners to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software products.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality software code, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure software products meet our high standards.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
