Position Summary

We are seeking experienced Heavy Civil / Structural Design Engineers to enhance our capabilities in our Toronto office. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a diverse range of projects across Canada and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and analysis of heavy civil engineering structures.
  • Preparation of design deliverables, including drawings and specifications.
  • Supervision of engineering teams and BIM/CAD technicians.
  • Effective communication with team members and stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications

  • A minimum of two years of post-graduate experience in heavy civil engineering or structural design.
  • Proficiency in steel and concrete design according to Canadian Standards.
  • Experience with structural analysis software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with composite steel/concrete, masonry, geotechnical, and timber design.
  • Familiarity with rail-related structures and AREMA standards.
  • Knowledge of finite element analysis software.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and innovative design solutions.
  • Understanding of project cost management and timelines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Educational Requirements

  • BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • Progressing towards Professional Engineer status in Ontario.
