Morgan Construction and Environmental (Ltd.) is seeking a skilled Packer Operator to join our team. As a Packer Operator, you will play a crucial role in the heavy civil construction process, ensuring the safe and efficient compaction of materials on our construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate a smooth drum or sheeps foot packer to compact materials on a construction site.
  • Pack square to edges and ensure smooth operation of controls.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections to ensure optimal functionality and safety of the packer.
  • Communicate effectively with other team members to ensure efficient operations.
  • Support ground crew as required and champion our safety culture by adhering to Morgan's Safe Work Procedures and PPE policies.
  • Adhere to project specifications and guidelines to maintain quality standards.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience operating a smooth drum or sheeps foot packer.
  • Proven experience as a packer operator in the heavy civil earthworks, construction, mining, or oilfield maintenance services industry.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
Working Conditions:
  • Embrace the elements by working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Expect to handle noise and vibrations on the job.
  • Must be able to work up to 12 hours a day and night shifts.
  • Must be able to work in remote areas with accommodation provided.
