Finance Leadership Track Graduate Program: Accelerate Your Career

The Finance Leadership Track Graduate Program is a prestigious rotational development program designed for talented and ambitious graduates interested in a career in finance. This three-year program is tailored to equip participants with leadership and expertise in key areas of finance, including accounting, controllership, business finance, and financial planning and analysis.
Program StructureThe program consists of two tracks: Accounting/Controllership and Business Finance/Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). Each track includes three diverse and meaningful one-year rotations with increasing levels of responsibility through different subfunctions within finance.
Accounting/Controllership Track- Gain hands-on experience in financial reporting processes and systems, financial report preparations, accounting policies and transactions, financial statement analysis, and management reporting needs.
- Develop expertise in Treasury, Internal Audit, Tax, or Business Finance through two one-year rotations.
- Gain hands-on experience as a business partner to sales, marketing, operations, or logistics teams through two one-year rotations in Business Finance.
- Develop expertise in Financial Planning & Analysis through a one-year rotation, assisting in the development of monthly forecasts and annual budgets, and monitoring financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Undergraduate students in their final year at university with a minimum overall B+ GPA.
- Commitment to pursuing the CPA designation for those candidates interested in the Accounting/Controllership track.
- Strong affiliation with Maple Leaf Foods' Leadership Values.
- An intense curiosity to learn key areas of finance and the business.
- Demonstrated desire to lead through work experiences, volunteer roles, community activities, or sports.
- High degree of energy and initiative demonstrated through involvement in school, clubs, community services, and sports.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Team player with the ability to build and maintain working relationships.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
