About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Worker to join our facilities team at 5006991 Ontario Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our premises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweeping and Cleaning: Regularly sweep, mop, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Waste Management: Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, and other refuse, and empty trash cans and other waste containers.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Perform minor repairs on appliances, contact contractors for repairs and maintenance, and advertise vacancies as needed.
  • Safety and Security: Conduct regular safety and security checks to ensure the well-being of our staff and visitors.
  • Heavy Lifting: Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies as required.
  • Cleaning and Disinfecting: Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures to maintain a hygienic environment.
  • Winter Maintenance: Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas during winter months.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required. Permanent employment with 30 to 35 hours per week.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
