About the Role

Vault Credit Corporation is a leading private lending company offering a wide range of financial services. We are seeking a highly skilled Bilingual Asset Recovery Specialist to join our team.

Job Summary

The Bilingual Asset Recovery Specialist will be responsible for recovering company assets, collecting payments on past due accounts, and resolving bad debt through negotiation and analytical review. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the English and French language, excellent organizational and time-management skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recover company assets through effective tools and techniques
  • Collect payments on past due accounts, including late charges and payment penalties
  • Resolve bad debt through negotiation and analytical review
  • Locate lessees through skip tracing techniques
  • Confirm asset location and best time for recovery
  • Research and determine recovery fees
  • Research fair market value of assets
  • Assign bailiffs and repossess assets
  • Send notifications to customers regarding asset sales
  • Calculate deficiency balances and send deficiency letters
  • Negotiate pay off balances and settlements
  • Analyze lessee's financial information
  • Monitor payment arrangements
  • Maintain accurate account records
  • Prepare notes for collections team meetings
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED required, plus a minimum of four years collections experience
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the English and French language
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to assess equipment cost-effectiveness
  • Ability to research asset fair market value and cost of recovery
  • Ability to control costs of recovery
  • Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse workforce
