Key Responsibilities
  • Site Investigations: Oversee and execute both surface and subsurface site investigations, including borehole logging, soil and rock sampling, and geological mapping.
  • Field Inspections: Manage field inspections of construction activities and conduct material testing of geotechnical substances.
  • Technical Documentation: Prepare and compose proposals and detailed technical reports.
  • Engineering Analysis: Perform comprehensive geotechnical engineering analyses.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise technicians and junior engineers while managing project timelines and budgets.
Qualifications and Skills

Educational Background: A post-graduate degree in a Geo-Engineering discipline such as Geotechnical Engineering, Geo-Environmental Engineering, or Engineering Geology is required.

Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in the geo-engineering sector within Canada is essential. Previous experience in consulting engineering or construction is advantageous.

Technical Proficiency: High proficiency in current geotechnical software applications is expected.

Communication Skills: Strong technical, oral, and written communication skills are necessary.

Analytical and Management Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities and project management skills are crucial.
