Realstar Management is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper physical maintenance of our properties, including the grounds.
Responsibilities:- Assist in cleaning and maintaining the property, including the grounds.
- Ensure that all maintenance systems, including pumps, emergency generators, swimming pools, sprinklers, ventilation, boilers, etc., are in good working order.
- Respond to and address any maintenance, repairs, and inquiries from residents.
- Perform landscaping, mowing, and snow removal duties as required.
- Operate all equipment safely and ensure that standards of snow removal are adhered to.
- Ensure that the property is in compliance with provincial and municipal regulations.
- Pre-inspect vacant suites to ensure they are prepared for new residents.
- Coordinate with the Property Manager to schedule contractors and staff for maintenance and repairs.
- Supervise service providers and contractors and oversee the quality of work performed.
- Conduct daily visual inspections of all mechanical, HVAC, and sprinkler systems.
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Background in residential property management or related business experience.
- Strong customer service and selling skills.
- Excellent communication skills to deal with residents, prospects, colleagues, and trades.
- Management skills to coach, train, and motivate staff and develop a team environment.
- Maintain a professional and presentable appearance at all times.
- Basic computer and keyboarding skills.
- Ability to perform minor repairs and aptitude for mechanical systems.
- Demonstrated cleaning skills.
- Ability to lift and push heavy objects, including garbage bins, furniture, and appliances, or perform snow removal duties.
