Job Summary:

Blue Ridge Excavating is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a variety of heavy construction equipment, including excavators, skid steers, loaders, dozers, and compactors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate Heavy Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate heavy construction equipment, including excavators, skid steers, loaders, dozers, and compactors.
  • Site Safety: Maintain a clean and safe worksite at all times, adhering to all applicable regulations and laws.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform minor maintenance and lubrication tasks on assigned trucks and trailers.
  • Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to identify and control potential hazards.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the site foreman and other team members to ensure successful project completion.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in excavating and backfilling of residential projects.
  • Qualifications: Valid driver's license, knowledge of safety regulations and procedures, and ability to perform routine maintenance on heavy equipment.
  • Soft Skills: Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
