Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Engineering Technologist to join our team at Westminster Mobile Medical Imaging Inc. as a Prototype Development Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising the building and testing of prototypes, assisting in design, development, and testing, and preparing estimates, schedules, specifications, and reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prototype Development: Supervise the building and testing of prototypes to ensure they meet specifications and are of high quality.
  • Design and Development: Assist in the design, development, and testing of medical devices and equipment.
  • Estimating and Reporting: Prepare estimates, schedules, specifications, and reports for prototype development and testing.
  • Research and Development: Conduct applied research in fields of electrical and electronic engineering and physics to improve medical device design and functionality.
  • Installation and Commissioning: Conduct or supervise the installation, commissioning, and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems.
  • Testing and Analysis: Set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test, and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems.
  • Documentation: Complete work orders, test, and maintenance reports to ensure accurate documentation of prototype development and testing.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in prototype development, design, and testing.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of biomedical engineering principles, design, and testing. Proficient in MS Office, MS Access, and MS Excel. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
