Job Title: Biomedical Engineering Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Engineering Technologist to join our team at Westminster Mobile Medical Imaging Inc.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the building and testing of prototypes, assisting in design, development, and testing, and preparing estimates, schedules, specifications, and reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the building and testing of prototypes to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Assist in design, development, and testing of medical imaging equipment and systems.
  • Prepare estimates, schedules, specifications, and reports for projects and tasks.
  • Write specifications for medical imaging equipment and systems.
  • Assist in inspecting, testing, and adjusting electronic components to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Conduct safety training programs for staff and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in building and testing prototypes to specifications.
  • Collect and compile operational or experimental data to inform design and development decisions.
  • Carry out applied research in fields of electrical and electronic engineering and physics to improve medical imaging technology.
  • Conduct or supervise the installation, commissioning, and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems.
  • Set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test, and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems.
  • Complete work orders, test, and maintenance reports to ensure accurate tracking of equipment and systems.
Requirements:
  • College/CEGEP diploma in a relevant field.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in biomedical engineering or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to distinguish between colors.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads.
