INVISTA is currently seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our engineering team. This position plays a critical role in the design and dependability of mechanical systems within our extensive manufacturing environment.

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to contribute to our multidisciplinary engineering team. Your role will be essential in managing various engineering projects, from significant capital initiatives to vital operational support.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and guide project teams throughout all phases of the capital project lifecycle, from the initial design concept to successful commissioning and operational start-up. Establish and communicate clear project goals that align with our organizational objectives. Ensure open and timely communication regarding project updates with all stakeholders involved. Execute projects meticulously following INVISTA's Project Work Process (PWP) standards. Prepare precise capital cost estimates, cash flow projections, and detailed project timelines. Translate project specifications into competitive requests for proposals and engage proactively with vendors. Implement effective systems to track and manage project progress, ensuring adherence to budget and schedule. Administer a structured change management process to effectively handle scope and budget adjustments. Manage the project handover process, ensuring readiness for operations and commercial success. Occasional travel to other sites may be necessary as part of the role.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. A minimum of three (3) years of experience in leading and managing engineering project teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Current or eligible for Professional Engineer (P.Eng) registration. Project Management Professional (PMP, PMI, or equivalent) certification. Familiarity with SAP R3 or similar enterprise resource planning systems.
