Job Title: Senior Data Analyst, Investigations

Job Summary:

CIRO is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst, Investigations to join our Enforcement team. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a key role in reviewing and developing new tools to enhance the investigational program. You will design and build quantitative analytic processes, develop new tools to streamline and automate current computational processes, and perform in-depth analysis on transactions and market data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build quantitative analytic processes to provide statistical analysis of market-related issues and infractions.
  • Develop new tools to streamline and automate current computational processes and analytics related to all investigations.
  • Perform in-depth analysis on transactions and market data to generate reports for business users.
  • Assist Enforcement management in developing tools related to management information systems.
  • Build visualization tools for interpretation of market participants' trading strategies.
  • Build training modules and educate team members on optimal use of newly developed processes.

Requirements:

  • Masters-level degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Math, Physics, Information Management, Finance, or Economics.
  • Experience extracting and manipulating data using SQL from relational databases/warehouses.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JAVA, MATLAB, or R for quantitative analysis or data mining.
  • Expertise with visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI.
  • Strong working knowledge of the functioning of the capital markets, including a deep understanding of trading systems, practices, and market activities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
