Job Title: Senior Technical Business Systems Analyst
Job Summary:
Orbit Group Partners is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Business Systems Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, organizing, and implementing documentation standards and templates. You will work closely with our development and data teams to ensure that our software platform meets the needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Detailed Business Requirements: Meticulously develop detailed business requirements for our software platform to enable detailed technical design, thorough test case development, and best-in-class software development.
- Lead Requirement Sessions: Lead requirement sessions with clients and Orbit Product Owners to elicit User Stories and Acceptance Criteria.
- Assist in Product Roadmap Development: Assist the ELT in the development of the Product Roadmap.
- Work with Development Teams: Work effectively with internal UX,.NET MVC development teams, and clients to identify, document, and prioritize requirements.
- Anticipate and Communicate Roadblocks: Anticipate and communicate roadblocks, conflicts, and obstacles within design reviews and help resolve application and production issues being able to articulate in both technical and non-technical discussions.
- Document Libraries: Create, streamline, and maintain document libraries for internal and external solution delivery including requirements templates, user story guides, administrator guides, etc.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree, with 6 – 8 years as a Business Systems Analyst with information systems experience in business process analysis, requirements and design, data modeling, detailed functional design, test planning, and UAT execution.
- Experience: 6+ years' experience writing detailed business requirements documentation and functional specifications to a software product development environment within a startup or smaller software firm.
- Skills: Proven ability to coordinate a diverse set of business users to develop cohesive and streamlined requirements, documentation, and user acceptance criteria. Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills. Experienced in working with internal/external stakeholders and eliciting business requirements with strong writing and presentation skills.
- Agile Experience: Experience in Agile software development methods, practices, and tools.
- System Implementation Experience: System implementation and support experience from gathering and documenting complex business requirements through testing and production rollout.
- Change Management Experience: Excellent change management leadership skills including communication, testing, training, and business system and process transformation.
Nice to Have:
- BI Reporting Experience: Experience with BI reporting solutions, analytics, dashboards, and/or scorecards.
- Mobile App Experience: Experience with mobile app technologies (i.e. iOS, Android, data flow models, etc.).
- Data Querying Experience: Ability to query data and understand database objects.
- Contact Centre Experience: Experience with Contact or Call Centre or Human Capital performance data and reporting.
- SaaS Experience: Familiarity with SaaS web applications in.NET Microsoft stack and SQL Server environment.
Additional Requirements:
- Education: Degree in Business or Computer/Information Technology.
- Certifications: PMP or IIBA.
Travel Requirements: Please note that 20% travel could be required in this role, all applying candidates must hold a valid Canadian Passport.
