About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Ethnic Food Cook to join our team at Penticton Indian Cuisine. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, as well as training staff in food preparation and handling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, adhering to high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Train kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling techniques.
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed to maintain a well-stocked kitchen.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and safe food preparation and service.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen and work areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a kitchen environment.
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
