The District School Board of Niagara is seeking a qualified and experienced Secondary Occasional Teacher to join our team. Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing instruction and support to students in a secondary school setting. This will include planning and delivering lessons, assessing student progress, and communicating with parents and colleagues.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide instruction and support to students in a secondary school setting
  • Plan and deliver lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Communicate with parents and colleagues to ensure student success
Requirements:
  • Good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
  • Conditions of Employment: Maintain good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers; Upon hire, provide a Criminal Background Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (dated within six months); Agreement to comply with the Board's policies, procedures and code of conduct; Successful completion of a probationary period in accordance with the Collective Agreement; Work a minimum of 15 teaching days in an academic school year; Complete an annual offence declaration process.
