About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Prenatal Special Care and Adult Surgery Inpatient Unit. As a member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will provide holistic, comprehensive evidence-based care to meet the needs of individuals, families, and communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient/family care to promote, maintain, or restore health, prevent illness, injury, and disability, or support a peaceful death.
  • Care for high-risk antenatal and post-operative adult surgery patients, including those with breast health and gynecology needs.
  • Lead in nursing assessment and care planning, ensuring the goals and needs of patients and families are prioritized and individualized.
  • Engage in independent, interdependent, and dependent functions to provide healthcare, focusing on comprehensive assessment, patient/family education, and coordination of care.
Requirements
  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing required.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure by the Nova Scotia College of Nursing required.
  • Current successful completion of CPR Level-C Healthcare Provider within the last 12 months required.
  • Experience in obstetrical nursing preferred.
  • Recent nursing experience in medical-surgical acute care preferred.
