Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Project Director / Team Lead to join our Contaminated Assessment and Remediation (CAR) team in our Vancouver office.

About the Role

This is a senior leadership position that requires a strong technical background in contaminated sites assessment and remediation, as well as excellent business acumen and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the growth and management of the CAR team, ensuring effective relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and revenue in the CAR market.
  • Manage and deliver complex contaminated sites assessment and remediation projects, ensuring high-quality results and client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement business plans, strategies, and initiatives.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality results.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Manage and mitigate risks associated with projects and business operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure efficient and effective project delivery, quality control, and risk management.
  • Provide input and guidance on business development initiatives, including proposal development, bid management, and client engagement.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of company-wide initiatives, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Professional Engineer, Professional Geoscientist, or Environmental Scientist degree.
  • Minimum 15 years' experience in contaminated sites assessment and remediation, with at least 5 years' experience in a leadership or management role.
  • Post-graduate degree and/or PMP designations are assets.
  • Strong technical authority in contaminated sites assessment and remediation.
  • Excellent business acumen, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
